Will Hutchins exhibited a number of his paintings, not only in his home town of Deerfield, Massachusetts, but in Greenfield and elsewhere. At the Academy, he ran a number of activities, including writing and staging the play, "Jeanne d'Arc at Vaucouleurs" in 1909. That same year, he was granted a degree in Fine Arts from Yale University. Hutchins painted and taught art at the Academy for some time.
