This lithograph of a drawing by Nathaniel Hitchcock was the proposed design for the building to house the museum of the Pocumtuck Valley Memorial Association, Deerfield, Massachusetts. It was drawn in 1876, but never built. By 1878 the Association had acquired the original building of the Deerfield Academy and opened Memorial Hall as a museum in 1880.
