The Starrett Company is located in Athol, Massachusetts. The company created this postcard in 1898 as an advertisement stating it was the "largest plant in the world for exclusively making hand tools for mechanics." It still produces fine precision tools for industrial, professional and consumer markets world wide. The Orange/Athol area was the site of many large factories along the Millers River.
