You may create a gravestone for anyone you choose, including yourself. Please
do not copy the gravestone of your research subject, but do incorporate into
your design elements from any gravestones that you have studied so far.
1. Sketch your ideas on
paper first.
2. Use a pencil to sketch your design onto your board. Draw the outline of the
top edge of your gravestone if you want it to be curved.
3. Carve the spaces out with appropriate tools, being sure to carve away from
your body.
4. To make your model appear more like stone, you may paint it. Remember to
stay within the outline for the top edge of your stone, if you drew one.
5. Clean up.
