This is a complaint against Thomas Rose of Leyden, Massachusetts, for not appearing as summoned for militia training day. All able men in Massachusetts over the age of 16 were required to appear for militia training day armed and equipped as required by the law. Thomas Rose failed to appear on September 29, 1788 and was fined 10 shillings 2 pence, which as of November 11, he still had not paid.
