The letter is from the secretary of the Monday Club of North Adams, Massachusetts, and is in support of the trolley tracks being laid to the east of "the beautiful street." Jessie Paul Goodrich, the author of the letter, tells Mrs. Sheldon that the forty members of the club she represents have sent a protest to their Representatives regarding the laying of the trolley tracks. She confesses that she knows neither of the representatives herself, but that her husband is known to them.
