An advertisement placed by Greenfield Tap and Die Corporation (GTD) ran in Aero Digest magazine during WWII. GTD was the world's largest maker of taps, dies and gages. The Army/Navy awarded the company with several "E" flags and the employees "E" pins for exceptional performance in manufacturing. GTD ran three shifts, worked around the clock seven days a week producing these measuring devices that insured an accurate fit for all parts produced anywhere in the country.
