Warwick, Massachusetts, was incorporated as a town in 1763. The Gales had both a sawmill and a gristmill located on what is now known as Gales Pond. This picture of one of the mills shows a man dressed in classic early 20th century "leisure clothes" reclining on a projection from the building reading a book. Warwick is one of the most eastern towns in Franklin County, and retains its rural character. There are currently no industries or retail establishments located in the town.
