Born in Michigan, Agnes Higginson Fuller (1838-1924) grew up in Boston and spent many summers in Deerfield, Massachusetts. In 1859, she enrolled at Harvard University to take classes with Professor Lois Agassiz (1807-1873) at the newly opened university museum. Some of the topics covered, as indicated by these pages from her notebook, included botany and classification of natural events.
