This painting of the Millers Falls Company plant, circa 1930's, of Millers Falls, Massachusetts, is one of the first commissioned works by Stephen Maniatty, a Pioneer Valley landmark artist. Maniatty was Art Director of Deerfield Academy, where students who became enamored of his depictions of the local area brought his work back home to all parts of the world. For a time, this painting was glued to the tavern wall of the famous Mansion House in Greenfield, Massachusetts, before it was given to the Museum of Our Industrial Heritage in Greenfield, Massachusetts.
