Johns room Boston Mar 14, 1876

Dear Agnes—I got your letter this
morning then I went to see Luther &
told him about Lydia Arms case. I
hope she continued to improve yesterday &
is by this time feeling herself again, but,
these attacks are serious & the cause of
them must be ascertained -- Luther wanted to
know what he could send that she
would like to eat – fruit &c.
Last night Lewis & I went to Medford
& called on the [Hallondes] & had a very
pleasant evening —Mrs. H. is coming in
to see the pictures. This morning Mr. Henry Lee
bought the sheep picture $150 – this makes
I think 4 sold, & Mr. Doll insists on
putting all I had on exhibition. I shall
wait a few days longer. As it seems
necessary I should be here I have not
seen Miss Perkins, nor yr Uncle Waldo

George Fuller, aged fifty-four, writes a loving letter to his wife of fifteen years. She is at home on the family farm in Deerfield, Massachusetts, and he is in Boston where he has seen his paintings "find an Audience." Fuller, the artist, is happy not only to be recognized, but also because people are willing to pay for his work. He has sold four of his "pictures," and he tells his wife how nice it is to have found "people who think as you do in Art."
