The letter from the Connecticut Valley Street Railway Co. to George Sheldon of Deerfield, Massachusetts, speaks of an enclosed check to pay for the right of way they had requested. The signature of the writer has been torn away. The date appears to be 1906, well after the trolley has come to Deerfield. The tone of the letter is extremely sarcastic when it addresses Mr. Sheldon's background.
