In 1831, 47-year-old Lucinda Nims (1784-1857) inherited her father's land and buildings "so long as she shall remain unmarried." Sometime between this date and the death of her mother in 1843, Lucinda wrote this paper
to divide the property among her chosen relatives: her mother, brothers and her sisters' children. Lucinda Nims outlived her 2 brothers and her mother. Lucinda's niece (daughter of brother Edwin) Eunice Kimberley Nims (1845-1917), who married Rufus Franklin Brown (1842-1903), became the next owner.
