Orlando Ware (1779-1860) rented a large house in Deerfield, Massachusetts, from Ebenezer Hinsdale Williams. In 1807, he rented the north part of that house to Hosea Hildreth (1782-1835) who had come to Deerfield to be headmaster of the Deerfield Academy. The rent for the year was $36.00. The paper describes the spaces being rented and helps us to imagine the inside of the house as well as the outbuildings and gardens.
