This writ is for the jailing of Amos Thomas of New Salem, Massachusetts, for the non-payment of a debt due to John and Samuel Frink. Thomas owed the Frinks 10 pounds 4 shillings 2 pence 1 farthing, but also had to pay the legal costs. Thomas was to be put in jail until he paid the debt or until it was discharged by the Frinks.
