Elizabeth Amsden of Deerfield, Massachusetts, was a single woman who made her living as a weaver. Shortly before she died in 1768, she made a list of all her belongings (an inventory) and "sold, set over & delivered" them to townsman Salah Barnard. By studying the material goods belonging to a person we can learn something about the person. Two neighbors of Ms. Amsden witnessed this document.
