Susie Walking Bear Yellowtail (1903-1981) was one of the United States first Native American registered nurses. She attended the Franklin County Public Hospital of Nursing in Greenfield, Massachusetts, and was in the Class of 1927. This bag, beaded with the Peyote stitch, was used by Susie to hold small objects.
