"Jeanne d'Arc at Vaucouleurs" was a play written by Will Hutchins for the Harrow Theater in Deerfield. Set in the rural French countryside, this play was perfect for the Deerfield community, so immersed in the Arts and Crafts revival. The Harrow Theater was located behind the home of Margaret Whiting, one of the founders of the Deerfield Blue and White Society. Members of this Society of embroiderers embellished the costumes worn in this play.
