In 1908 at the Deerfield Annual Summer Exhibition in Deerfield, Massachusetts, the Deerfield Society of Blue and White Needlework exhibited "Panel for screen, The Last Rose of Summer" and offered it for sale at $25.00. The appliqued and embroidered panel was intended to set in a wood frame and be made into a screen.
