Written a year into the American Revolution, this letter from Boston directs the recipient to report to Colonel Williams in Hatfield, Massachusetts, in order to get seventy men to form a company. These men were to be lodged in the best way possible and the homeowners who took them in were to be paid. The rest of the men would come from Marlborough and Boston and arms and clothing from Springfield.
