There is currently no available "Beginner" label. The following is the default level label: This article reports on the anniversaries and financial health of three religious societies. The New England Religious Tract Society was organized May 23, 1814 and incorporated in June 1816. The name was changed in June 1823 to American Tract Society. The society's mission was "To make Jesus Christ known in His redeeming grace and to promote the interests of vital godliness and sound morality, by the circulation of Religious Tracts, calculated to receive the approbation of all Evangelical Christians." The American Bible Society was founded in New York City in 1816 with the goal of placing a bible in every home. In May 1826, representatives from the Congregational, Presbyterian, and Reformed churches met to form the American Missionary Society. Its purpose was to assist congregations in the United States, its territories and Canada until they could become financially self-reliant. The Greenfield Gazette and Franklin Herald was the newspaper in Greenfield, Massachusetts, from June 26, 1827 to June 27, 1837. It changed its name to the Gazette & Mercury.
