Finger-woven items such as bags, garters and sashes were designed and woven by women. The design on this wool sash is characteristic of motifs from the Great Lakes region which includes parallel zigzags, diagonal grids, and diamond-chain design. This sash has a multi-colored chevron pattern with glass beads and fringe. There is a small pouch sewn on one end.
