The decoration on this serving dish is called "Chinoiserie." It is an English version of Chinese designs and was put on with a tissue paper-printed pattern. It was made in the Enoch Wood factory in the Staffordshire district in England between 1790 and 1820. The designs include buildings, flowers, and 2 Chinese men. This serving dish was given to Memorial Hall by a relative of the Nims family, Eunice K. Brown.
